Description:

A simple master material for use with material instances that covers all common car body surfaces. For best results, use the double normal clear coat shader. Added textures to carbon fiber, metal flakes, and clear coat scratches. Metal flake triggers spark effect when changing perspective. Also supports texture maps as a mask for various types of surfaces.

“Clear Coat Enable Second Normal” must be activated in the Project Settings to see the full effect.

Examples of what can be created with this material are shown in the screenshots, including carbon fiber (matte, glossy and tinted), foil wrap, metallic paint, candy paint, flip/pearl paint, faded and scratched paint.

A very simple racing stripe system is also included. This uses locally aligned coordinates so UV maps are not required, but may not work in all situations. Note that all other material effects require meshes to have proper UV maps.
